Leadership experience · Club Studio

Recruited to launch a premium club brand.

After selling my licensing business, I was recruited to launch Club Studio. I built the team, led the brand through its first locations and into expansion, and created CS4, its group training concept, along with the technology behind it.

The mission

Club Studio set out to bring the boutique experience inside a premium full-service club: five boutique studio concepts under one roof, in clubs of 40,000 square feet or more. The brand needed someone to build its launch from nothing.

The insight

A premium club is several businesses under one roof. Each studio needs its own concept, team, and programming, and all of them have to be ready on day one.

What I led

  1. 01
Build the teamAs the first employee, I hired and built the team that would launch the brand.
  2. 02
Run the launch playbookFrom concept to opening day for the brand's first locations, with the next wave of clubs already in planning.
  3. 03
Create CS4I created CS4, Club Studio's group training concept: the format, the programming, and the room it runs in.
  4. 04
Build the technologyWith my own technology team, I built the technology that delivered CS4 programming to coaches and screens.

The results

  • Club Studio opened its first locations on the launch playbook.
  • CS4 became the brand's group training concept.
  • In the years since, Club Studio has grown into a national brand.

What this means for your property

Launch experience at scale

Few advisors have opened a premium club brand from the inside. That experience shapes every launch I work on.

Programming and technology, built twice

First with HIIT by LAF, then with CS4. My technology team and I know how to make a concept run the same way in every room.

Many concepts, one opening

Multiple studios, one team, and one playbook, all ready when the doors open.

The takeaway

You only get one opening day. Everything that matters is built before it.
